There are a lot of advantages in following the latest electronic trends (like impressing your mates) but it also has one main disadvantage: Your media stand is cluttered up with devices and there are cables everywhere. So whatever helps me to minimise kerfuffle is welcomed.

Therefore, I recently bought a LCD DVD Combi TV for my living room. This LCD TV integrates a fully working DVD player. It has a little DVD slot on one side where you slide in your favourite DVD movies. So you save the space and cables of a big DVD player box. I think it’s a marvelous idea!

It comes with a built-in digital tuner so you can enjoy digital TV channels and the fairly new interactive features. The Toshiba DV series has a very slim design and therefore fits in many places of your house, like a kitchen or your bedroom.

Another LCD DVD Combi TV with a bigger screen is the LG Electronics 26LG4000. Besides being HD-ready, this TV also features an Invisible Speaker System. LG stops with the idea that the speaker grills have to be exposed and came up with a special design that integrates the speakers into the panel design.

Those LCD DVD Combi TV’s especially look great when mounted on the wall with their sleek and slim design- plus you don’t need a media center anymore!
