Once upon a time, I was a little girl with a wish. I wished for pink bedding. At the time my mum was looking everywhere for the colour pink, but didn’t succeed.  I went shopping the other day and recalled my wish and I finally wanted to fulfill my dream. I was surprised about the variety of pink bedding in the shops.  I suppose more girls now have the wish and so the market offers many different shades of pink bedding.

Did you know…?

In the middle of the 19^th century the colour pink was assigned to boys. Being related to red, the colour pink had a masculine connotation, while blue was appropriate for girls. Blue was considered to be more feminine being more delicate and dainty. How times change!
