Sleep In Warmth On A Wintry Night With An Electric Blanket

Electric BlanketImagine that you have finished all your tasks, are totally worn out and ready to sleep on a winter night. When you flop into your bed, all your sleep disappears, as your bed is ice-cold! This is a situation that I had faced when Ash and I were newly married. Thankfully it was quickly remedied by a thoughtful gift – an electric blanket – from one of our friends.

Ash and I were married in winter. I was looking forward to setting up our new home after returning from our honeymoon. I had not realized what a lot of work this entailed! After all the hard work of cleaning the house, arranging the furniture and sorting out the wedding gifts, we only had the energy to ravenously devour the home delivered pizzas. We then prepared to go to sleep. Once we got into bed, we lay shivering between the icy sheets (the heater decided to stop working that night!) Ash suddenly remembered a gift that we had received- Morphy Richards Super Kingsize Dual Control Electric Blanket.

Morphy Richards Electric Blanket

This Morphy Richards Electric Blanket was a miracle. It is still a pleasure to feel its soft warmth. It has a fully fitted elasticated skirt, an overheat protection, an illuminated display light temperature and a washable fleece heated mattress cover. The wiring in the mattress is so thin that you never even realize that its there. However its best feature is that it enables each person to control the temperature on his side of the blanket! This is a blessing in disguise as Ash and I have diametrically opposite needs for warmth. When I feel warm, he feels cold and vice versa!

The Morphy Richards electric blanket also helps to reduce electricity bills as we can reduce the use of our heater. All we need to do is to preheat the blanket and slip into bed.
I believe there’s nothing more heavenly than being able to get into a warm bed for a peaceful sleep on a cold and chilly night. An electric blanket is a perfect way to ensure that we are able to enjoy that bliss.

Did you know…?

Safety officials recommend to change electric blankets every 10 years in order to be safe from overheating. You should also replace any electric blanket that is worn or torn, where the electric cord is frayed, or where the temperature control is damaged.
