Just choose 5 Nail polishes, sounds easy doesn’t it? But if you ask a nail polish freak like me, it’s actually really hard. There are so many colors, brands and finishes to choose from.
But I like challenges so here is my top 5, in no particular order.
China Glaze ”Emerald Sparkle”
I love green nail polishes. I remember those days when they were quite hard to find, not long ago at all. Last year, China Glaze came out with the polish all we green nail polish fanatics been waiting for, a dark green jelly loaded with smooth green glitter. And they really did nail it! The formula, the opacity, the drying time, the color, everything is perfect! I love the dept and the sparkles. Even in indirect sunlight, where it’s not as glittery, it still looks awesome.
This is my favorite purple polish of all time. It’s simply perfect! It’s not so dark that it looks black and it’s not too red or too blue looking. The base is a plummy purple and the coppery and redish shimmer warms it up without becoming dominant. The balancing between cool and warm is just right on. The application is smooth and the drying time great.
OPI ”Don’t toy with me!”
This one is from last years winter collection. I had no idea that I would like it as much as I do. It’s a cool toned, deep super shimmery, magenta red with silver micro glitter. It’s so sparkly, fun and kinda sexy, all at the same time. I love how it looks against my (peachy) skin tone.
Barielle ”Date Night”
This is a gorgeous shimmery emerald green. I think it has the whole package when it comes to formula and drying time etc. I love the brush and the pigmentation is fantastic.Unique and It’s officially my favorite shimmery green.
Rescue Beauty Lounge ”Scrangie”
Scrangie is a beauty and nail polish blogger that I’ve followed since she started blogging. She’s an amazing person and her polish collection and swatches are like heaven. From the second I found out that she was going to design her own polish for Rescue Beauty Lounge, I knew that it was going to be amazing and I was beyond excited. The base color is a medium blue-based purple and turquoisey green iridescence and shimmer. The application is fantastic, well everything about it is fantastic actually. It is a bit more pricey than my other polishes, but trust me when I say ”It’s so worth it!” It’s a real beauty and Scrangie did an amazing job.
Did you know…?
According to the Guinness Book, a women in Utah had fingernails which measured a total of 28 feet long with the longest nail on her right thumb at 2 feet, 11 inches. Hope that we always keep our nails clean, short and beautifully polished : )
