We hope that all your wishes come true and that you end up with new electronics, clothing, cameras, or computers…
Here is a little summary of the 2009 Christmas trends:
- This year’s Christmas colours are purple and white. So don’t be
surprised by seeing Christmas tree decorations in those colours.
- Eco-friendly products are highly demanded this year. This can mean that the present is re-used, re-cycled, or re-purposed.
- Another trend that also continues this year is flameless candles. They are safer and better for the environment.
- With Christmas lighting, LED lighting has been getting more popular. Their light looks a little bit different than you are used to but again, they are better for the environment and save energy.
- Personalized gifts are being preferred by a lot of people to gifts that no one knows what to do with. Besided being something special and unique, they are also good for the budget.
- The trend for vintage and antique looks continues this year. If you don’t have any ideas go to second hand shops and you will find some great unique presents!
- Reversible gift wrap is very popular this year: matte on one side and metallic on the other side.
Did you know…?
Santa Claus has a lot of different names, depending what continent and country it is: Father Christmas, the Weihnachtsmann, Père Noël; Saint Nicholas or Sinterklaas; Kris Kringle; the Christkind; Joulupukki; Saint Basil; Babbo Natale or Father Frost.
