Did you survive the last snowstorms in the UK? I really liked the satellite picture taken from the British Islands all covered in snow. It looked pretty amazing, right? It must have been less exciting for everybody stuck in traffic because nothing was moving anymore. Besides being cold it just gets dead-boring to sit in the car and wait. I had it once and wished to have some entertainment equipment in my car.

That’s when car DVD players can come in really handy and useful. They usually have two headrest screens so everybody in the back can enjoy the movie. And with the remote control you can control the DVD menu easily. I have even seen car DVD players with SD card slots so you can check out pictures  taken with your digital camera.

The perfect digital camera for the go and to take beautiful winter landscape pictures is the Canon IXUS 95 IS. This camera is very compact and is available in funky colours, such as light-blue, yellow, pink, or silver. It even has a “snow mode” which will bring out the best crystal-clear pictures you have ever seen! You can also switch to special photo effects, such as  Vivid, Neutral, Sepia, or Black & White and take movies.

Those two things were for the entertainment part. Another thing I always keep in my car is a mummy sleeping bag. I know, I know they are for camping but believe me if you are sitting in the car and you are freezing you will be happy to have it. They don’t take much space in your trunk and are super-light. I just think it’s always good to have a sleeping bag in your car, no matter what you will be using it for!
