5 Tips on following the Vancouver Olympic Games

The Olympic games are kicking off this weekend. Are you prepared? Have you optimised your telly’s set up? Don’t miss the exceptional skill and beauty of figure skating, the excitement of hockey, and the speed and ferocity of slalom. And I am sure there will be many documentaries about Vancouver and Canada during this special event. Check out the tips we have gathered for you and get ready to be comfortable in front of your telly.

Make sure you have great AV receiver that will boost the  sound in the living room. The Yamaha Av receiver is an exceptional product which guarantees quality and an amazing viewing experience. It has high sound quality, 5-channel powerful surround sound, which will guarantee that you  will capture even the smallest of emotions in Vancouver. Imagine all the tears and laughter from the all the athletes who are destined to win or lose.

Can you follow the Olympics on a small screen? Impossible! Get a big 50 inch LCD screen where you can see all the details of the action going on. Imagine capturing the beauty and grace of the figure skating competition on a huge LCD screen.

Get comfy where you’re sitting. If you can’t travel to Vancouver this year, at least have a comfortable spot from which to watch the Winter Olympic games from. Get rid of the old clunky sofa and get a classy, comfortable and stylish brown leather sofa to relax and to enjoy the games on.

There will hopefully be a lot of reasons to celebrate our athletes in Vancouver. Team GB consists of  50 athletes across six sports (biathlon, bobsleigh, curling, luge, skating and skiing) and 11 disciplines (biathlon, bobsleigh, skeleton, curling, luge, figure skating, short track speed skating, alpine skiing, cross country skiing, freestyle skiing, and snowboarding). Make sure you have enough space in your fridge to host an Olympic party  or to store all those refreshments for the next 2 weeks. The Bosch refrigerator is very spacious and it has an integrated freezer. With an icebox like that, you can’t run out of refreshments.

Now that you are set up at home, all you have to do is invite your mates over and have the ultimate Vancouver Olympic party. And even though you can’t be in Vancouver this year, you can capture your Olympic  moments at home with a digital camera 8mp. Make the most of the Olympic spirit this year.

Did you know…?

Team GB’s most successful Olympic Winter Games was Chamonix 1924, winning four medals including gold in men’s curling, silver in men’s four-man bobsleigh, bronze in men’s ice hockey and bronze for Ethel Muckelt in women’s figure skating. It’s about time Team GB has another successful year in 2010 : )
