It’s only fair that just as the leaves sprout on the trees and new life gradually makes its way into the world, the spring-summer wardrobe of a mum-to-be should show the promise of new life too!

Most of us are aware that the average dress size of women around the age of 35-40 is said to be a size 16. Also, during pregnancy the average weight gain is 2 stone + (28lbs). For many of us, one of the effects of pregnancy is that the added weight gain creates additional  curves. And when we get curvy, the typical pregnant woman is quick to jump into some plus size maternity clothes . From flattering plus size maternity jeans to plus size chiffon tunic tops, maternity clothes comfortably allow you to grow with your baby. I’ve always wished that I could have worn my favourite tops before, during and after my pregnancy and there is a way!  Think asymmetric and hanky hemlines for your maternity tops, which offer practicality and versatility for all the seasons of your life!

My view is simple, whatever the weather,  and whether you are petite or plus sized, all a yummy mummy needs to put a spring in her step for the summer is pretty, practical , mix and match, easy-to-wear maternity clothes…oh, and the chance to tip toe through the tulips!
