If sweating once a day can keep us healthy, why isn’t everyone doing it? It can’t be that difficult..I mean, you could cycle to work, walk your dog, play with your children, run up the stairs to your office etc. The only thing we have to do is change our perspective on life and exercise! Exercise does not have to mean going to the gym and hanging out with muscle-y people. Exercises do not have to be painful. In fact they can be fun. Leave the car and public transportation behind and walk, run, cycle wherever you can. Convert every errand into an adventure or even a race. I mean, people can even sweat by cleaning the house. Cleaning is hard physical labour!
The bicycle is usually an easy way to sweat. Apollo bikes are fantastic entry level bikes to start your commute with. Apollo even produces folding bikes which can be taken onto the Tube or buses. Often, people don’t want to cycle to work because they are sweating and then they can’t find a shower to freshen up. Well, check out your offices–usually there will be a shower somewhere in the building.
As we know, our mind is the biggest hurdle to overcome habits. Good luck and have fun changing your perspective.
Did you know…?
Sweat is not an indication of low fitness levels. It is really just a reaction to stress and some bodies react with more sweat than others. Indeed, sweating is very healthy. It regulates body temperature, it detoxifies your body and it keeps the skin clean and pliant.

The mind IS the biggest hurdle. Most people will run on the treadmill and produce unbelievable results in such a short time and pay the price the next day with their bodies hurting. The mind will stray away from pain, so that’s what makes people quit after awhile from exercise. Instead, walk, slow at first, add some speed later. Focus ON how many minutes (40 minutes minimum) of good walk instead of how many miles you’ve run. Prefer to do it in the morning for it will give you ADDED energy for the day. You’ll be amaze how easy it is and pain free this is. Try it.
