Hi, My husband finally convinced me that we need a new TV. He thinks we should get a LCD TV. After taking a look at the variety I am now more confused than before. What brands stand for quality and reliability? We don’t mind to pay a bit more but getting a high quality product.

Thanks, Kate.

Kate,

Thank you for writing us and for asking your question! With all the different LCD TV manufacturers out there it can get very confusing when you decide to buy a TV. We generally suggest you to stick with the well-known brands as they also have the highest quality. They are usually also really reliable, but in case that something stops working their warranty policy can be very convenient.

Let's take a look at the different manufacturers: Toshiba's Regza LCD TVs are known for their great picture quality and with their new models you can access the internet to websites like Facebook or YouTube. Sony has their Bravia LCD TV which starts at a reasonable price and they have great designs. A Samsung 37 LCD TV Samsung 37 LCD TV might be the best one for your husband and you. It comes with their own Samsung Apps that connect to the internet and it has a special colour enhancer for an amazing experience!

My wife and I love to get in our car and do a little weekend trip. Unfortunately a lot of our trips end in having discussions about the right way to go. So I have finally decided to get a GPS navigation device. Is there a specific one you could recommend to me? What features should I look out for to get?

Thank you for your help!

Hi Andrew, Thanks for your great question. The new GPSs have lots of features such as FM lifetime traffic, photo navigation, ecoRoute™, and pedestrian navigation options.

I recommend Garmin Nuvi 1340T that offers many powerful features. First of all the 5 inches widescreen is a big advantage it makes it easy to see the maps behind the wheel. It features photo navigation, speed limit indicator, world travel clock, calculator and converter. What I think is a great extra is the lane assistance feature. It helps the drivers prepare to make an upcoming exit or turn by providing clear visual lane guidance.

And we both know that this is one of the major arguments. Is it this exit? One says yes the other says no. The GPS weighs only 221 grams so you can carry it around if you need directions while walking, it is now so simple to get to places on time.

I hope I could help you. Let me know if it works for you.

I'm thinking about buying a new digital camera. So far I had a Canon Powershot that fit in my pocket. But a lot of my friends bought a nicer Nikon or Canon and the pictures look great. What do you think would be the better camera?

Thanks for your advice.

Carol,
I am really sorry that our team is getting back to you after so long. In return we have done quite some research and we hope you are pleased with what we found. It is a tough question to ask if Nikon or Canon have a better camera. Generally, we would say that both companies have been in the business for a long time and therefore produce high-quality cameras you can rely on. When it comes to choosing the right camera it all comes down to what features you would prefer. As you like a camera that is small and fits in your bag we only looked at the point-and-shoot cameras. A very successful one is the Canon IXUS 95 IS. It is small, stylish and uses Scene Detection Technology to automatically find the best settings for where you are when taking a picture. Another great camera is the Nikon Coolpix S4000. It is very handy, comes in a lot of different colours and has an amazing touchscreen.

So now it is up to you what camera you want to get!
