The Picture Perfect Engagement Ring

The engagement ring is a visible sign of love and betrothal. A dress ring, meaning a ring with a gemstone, is usually the one that gets picked. The most popular choice is a ring with one diamond, known as a diamond solitaire.

So you decided to go for the diamond. It is a great choice! It looks stunning, it is the hardest substance on earth and it has symbolized security and strength since the 15th century. You should be aware of some basic facts regarding how diamonds are valued. Keep the four Cs in mind when you browse for the ring: Cut, Clarity, Colour and Carat.

  • Cut: It indicates the shape and how well the diamond has been cut to that shape. Princess cut is a popular cut these daysdiamond solitaire engagement ring
  • Clarity: A diamond’s purity and how many flaws it has is measured in clarity
  • Colour: If you’ve read about the colour of a diamond, it refers to how yellow it looks. The rule is the clearer it appears, the more expensive it is.
  • Carat: The last C measures the weight of a diamond.  One carat is 200 milligrams and each carat is divided into 100 parts called “points”. A 3 carat diamond therefore weighs 0.6 grams.

#1 Suraya Mohamad :

Having the perfect ring is really intense to most brides, the feeling of wanting everything to be perfect is overwhelming. I always thought that I would choose my own wedding ring, but I've decided to have faith in my husband. Luckily for me, my ring is gorgeous!! Thank god.. :)

Hi Suraya,
Thanks for your comment. I know exactly how you feel. But when it comes to the day of the proposal the man who owns your heart knows what ring you will love. And it looks like in your case that's what happened. :)
