Pretty soon it is going to be nice enough to go camping for the weekend and spend time outside in nature. If you don’t have the right equipment, it is the perfect time to get everything together as the selection of camping goods is always the biggest at the beginning of the year and you’ll be able to find the newest products and collections. So, let’s say you want to spend a beautiful weekend in the woods. What do you need for such a camping trip? This Top 10 List will make sure that you won’t forget anything important and that you can have a fun and relaxing weekend:

1. It can be a lot of fun to ride bikes together in a group to the next camping ground or woods or wherever you plan to have the fun outdoor weekend. If you are looking for a fair-priced and amazing bike, take a look at the Everest Folding Mountain Bike. As you can probably guess, this bike can be folded which is great if you live in an apartment in the city and if you don’t have enough room. If it is your first time looking for a full-sized folding bike,  you should know that it’s a very good beginner’s bike! Such a bike can also be great for your daily commute when you are back at work.

2. Of course, if you really want to enjoy nature, you have to get a family tent. They are spacious enough for at least four people and will make sure that you won’t feel cramped. Some tents are even tall enough to fully stand inside of them! The family tentwaterproof material will make sure that you won’t get wet if the weather doesn’t turn out to be that great.

3. A camping mat can be a valuable partner when you are outside. It will keep you warm when you are sleeping on the ground. Besides that, you can also use it when you are tanning in the sun or doing sit-ups at home. So you see, a camping mat can be very useful!

4. Of course, a mat is not enough when you are camping out. A sleeping bag will make you feel comfortable and will not make you miss your bed. They are usually very lightweight and compact so it won’t take away a lot of space or be heavy when you are hiking or biking.

5. One of the most important things for your camping trip is probably water. And you will need a lot of it as you might not be able to buy or find any. Depending on how many people are coming with you, you should probably bring 3 litres per person.

6. If you want to enjoy good, warm food, you should take a camping cooker with you. They are usually very small and come with a little gas cylinder. In addition to the cooker, get a couple of pots and pans to heat up your food. Of course, remember to include silverware and plates in your equipment.

7. If none of you are big cooks, the easiest way to eat is to get canned food. Just go to the supermarket near you and get tins of beans, chili, pre-made rice and cooked meat and you are all set! One tin is usually enough for two, so take enough food with you. Dry food, like nut & fruit mixes, can be a great snack in between big meals.

8. A sunny weekend is probably the best thing you can hope for. Make sure that you take sun screen with you, otherwise you won’t have happy memories of your camping weekend. Additionally, an after-sun-cream will calm your skin after a whole day in the sun.

9. Another valuable camping tool can be a torch or headlight. It can get very dark when you are outdoors so an extra light will make sure to guide you wherever you want to go. Those lamps usually work really long with the Adidas Clima 365same battery but some spare batteries can always come in handy.

10. And last but not least it is also all about wearing the right clothing. When you go camping, the best thing is to dress in layers so if you are feeling warm you can get rid of excess heat layer by layer. For example, Adidas Clima 365 won’t make you feel too hot, as your skin can breathe through the clothes and thus won’t transpire that much. You can find long sleeve or short sleeve shirts and pants of this brand which are all perfect for any outdoor activity.

As you can see, the right equipment can be essential when you are spending a weekend in nature. The Shopaholic team wishes you a great time and hopes you enjoy it!

Did you know?
If you happen to run out of water during your camping trip, you have to do the following: Take water from a river or lake and boil it over a fire for a couple of minutes. This should kill all the microorganisms in it. If the water has been muddy than let it sit for a while so particles can move to the bottom of the pot. Alternatively, you can use purification tablets and a water filter as well.
