All weather jackets and down jackets with hoods are also men’s wardrobe essentials this season. Hoods are especially practical and useful for unexpected spring showers.

2. Fleece Jackets

A fleece jacket is absolutely perfect for spring time. The reason is because fleece material is ideal for the spring time. It’s light, soft and keeps you warm during the cool spring. It is not waterproof however, so it isn’t really perfect for use in the wintertime. If you’ve ever felt fleece before, you know that it’s amazingly soft material. It feels great against your skin and that’s why its one of the most popular men’s jacket choices this season. Many all-weather jackets are lined with fleece because of its amazing ability to retain heat. They come in all kinds of colours, but not as many styles, unfortunately. Fleece hoodies are also extremely trendy at the moment because of their casual look and comfortable feel.

It doesn’t look shiny like polyester and it also looks comfortable and casual. Track jackets are perfect for working out as well. They’re lightweight and thin so that it can protect you from the elements while giving your body room to breathe.

4. Leather Jackets

This is a classic that seems to never go away. No man’s wardrobe is complete without a favourite leather jacket. Leather has a unique look and feel that really can’t be duplicated. It’s the epitome of edginess and screams style. There’s really not much to say about leather jackets, except that it is a classic look that looks great on any man. The key in choosing a leather jacket is to find one that fits you well and is styled in a way that matches your personality. While waist length leather jackets are absolutely fashionable, leather trench coats or long coats are not, so make sure you pick the right style when picking out leather jackets.

And last but not least are bomber jackets. A bomber jacket is a style of jacket and they can be made out of any material like leather, denim, or polyester. Bomber jackets come in a variety of materials and colours with slight changes here and there in its general style. Bomber jackets have no hood, they have a zip up the front and elastic around the wrists and waist. The collar is also tailored in a signature way. All in all, they look absolutely great and are a perfect pick for 2010.

Bomber jackets originated from the US military during World War I. Planes back then did not have enclosed cockpits and pilots needed heavy jackets that could keep them warm at high altitudes but not impede their mobility. The elastic bands were often lined with fur and were designed to keep the cold from penetrating through the jacket.
