Yes, four years have passed and we are finally in a football World Cup year. This year, this prestigious event will take place on African soil. The event will kick off in Johannesburg/South Africa on the 11th of June 2010. Last year, the World Cup took place in Germany. This was a far more convenient destination to travel to. South Africa is really rather far so not many of us will have the means to get there. If you are one of the lucky people who have the opportunity to go, please keep us updated on what is happening around you. As far as I know, the internet connection in the country is fairly good. You can get a 3G card and start sending us information and pictures. All the poor football-mad souls who have to stay behind don’t need to feel left out.
I suggest you take a small but powerful digital camera with you. 14 megapixel digital cameras are great models for such sporting events. The Olympus Mju 7040 is the perfect combination of style and performance. You can take videos and great pictures and easily post them or upload them onto your computer. The 14 megapixel sensor records images that are rich in colour and detail. A small camera is also better for security reasons.![]()
People who travel to South Africa during the World Cup will most likely discover the country’s beautiful spots. The landscape there is supposed to be breathtaking and it’d be useful to take a manfrotto tripod with you. With a tripod, you will be able to capture all the African beauty in motion. There are many different tripods available for different cameras. Your mates at home would appreciate all the great snapshots from your trip.
Enjoy your trip and send updates. Go England!
