Summer is approaching with big steps and if you have a garden or terrace you have probably planted the flowers and vegetables for this season. But what do you do if it gets colder again and you want to keep certain plants? Well, the best is probably to already start looking for a way to keep your flowers and more. One thing you can do is getting a greenhouse. They are protecting from freezing and other bad weather such as hail. A greenhouse is a great solution to grow vegetables such as cherry tomatoes or herbs like oregano, rosemary or thyme. So when you are cooking then you can just go to your little greenhouse and get the right herbs! There are different kinds of greenhouses depending on what plants you want to have and where you will put it.
A wooden greenhouse gives your backyard or balcony a very special touch. The BillyOh Grow House for example two big wooden shelves and double-walled polycarbonate glazing. The two doors give you full access to any of the plants in the greenhouse and they are also great for ventilating. The Deluxe version even has a cold frame on top to maximise your growing area.
If you are looking for something different that you should
take a look at a polycarbonate greenhouse. Those greenhouses are great construction and come in different sizes. They have twin walls and made out of eco-friendly material. They even have built-in gutters that will help you to collect rain water that you can use for your plants.
For those of you that are new to having a greenhouse, don’t worry: just get yourself a greenhouse kit! It’s an easy way to learn how to grow your vegetables. Such a kit consists of four high panels (made out of recycled material) and four corner pins and makes 1 metre squared bed. It has free draining, and early warming so it is perfect for starters! You will see that it is very easy to assemble!
Did you know?
If you grow tomatoes and basil in your greenhouse then you should make yourself a Caprese salad. It’s very refreshing and easy to make: Slice tomatoes and mozzarella cheese and arrange them alternatively with some basil leaves. Whisk olive oil and balsamic vinegar, add salt and pepper and pour it over the tomatoes. That’s it, bon appetit!
