Hello ladies (and gents!),
people are always on the look out for tips and tricks that are going to make them feel great, are they not? Well, I have come to learn that there are some very simple – yet effective- steps you can take to make you feel good in your own skin. Let’s begin:
Tip #1 – Drink Water
Whether you want clearer skin, more energy than the Duracell bunny, loose those pesky last pounds or just feel healthier… water is the best place to start. Drink as much of the stuff as you can – within reason – 1.5 litres is a good amount. It will flush your body of toxins – meaning those nasty spots will start to disappear- and leaving you feeling fresh, revitalized and healthy. As for loosing weight? People often confuse thirst for hunger, so when you’ve got a craving for the biscuit tin – gulp down some water instead!
Tip #2 – Have a giggle
Who doesn’t love to laugh? Having a good old chinwag with some friends and having a right chuckle is going to wo
rk out those belly muscles believe it or not. According to studies, it also helps you live longer! Although how accurate those studies are remains to be seen. But after having a laughing fit, belly aching and tears streaming down your face… you feel great!
Tip #3 – Make time for yourself
Now, by this I don’t mean cancel all plans and then spend the whole week pampering yourself… but it is important to look after yourself and your appearance. Whether this be taking half an hour out to have a relaxing bath filled to the brim of bubbles, or simply taking the time to strip your nails of that disgusting chipped polish and buffing to your heart’s content. If you look good, you feel good.
Tip #4 – Learn to love yourself
No, no, no… Not to the point where you’re looking in every single mirror or shop window that you pass, but you need to learn to be comfortable in your own skin. As someone that used to struggle a lot with self image I know that this doesn’t happen over night – it’s a long old slog! Fake your confidence, and soon enough you’ll believe it! You get what you’re born with, and you should rock it!
Tip #5 – Do something to make someone else happy
This is pretty self explanatory… for most? When you do something nice for somebody else you get that nice warm fuzzy feeling, and it’s good to get that once in a while! Next time you past a charity collector, chuck in some old pennies and loose change… you’re not going to use it, and someone else could do a lot more with it. Plus… you’ll make someone happy, as well as walking away feeling good!
