If the World Cup has got you itching to get back into shape, make sure you’re wearing the best trainers to help you reach your highest athletic potential. Here is our list of our 5 Best Men’s Trainers of 2010:
Puma has been making quality trainers for decades. The best part about Pumas trainers are that they are incredibly stylish–one look and you’ll agree, Puma trainers are equally as stylish as they are functional and versatile. The best trainer for you would depend on what type of sport you’re intending to play. If football is what you fancy, the best Puma football trainers currently on the market is their Puma PowerCat series of football trainers. If running is more your type of workout, Puma’s Speed Cat series is high end, high quality and highly fashionable. The only downside with Puma’s amazing trainers is the high end price tag.
2. Reebok
Reebok obviously is one of the biggest names out there–and for good reason. They have been making quality trainers for over a century and have definitely mastered the art of creating innovative and superior trainers. They literally have a trainer for every sport and dozens of different styles and technologies to choose from. In 2010, one of the most unique Reebok trainers with regard to style and technology are Zig trainers. Zig trainers have an extremely unique look to them–their soles are designed in a zig-zag foam formation and has been likened to an ‘energy drink for your feet’. Supposedly, the light weight foam on the bottom of the shoe does well at absorbing impact at the heel and springing you forward at the ball of the foot. Definitely worth a try if you’re in the market for a new pair of trainers!
3. CAT Footwear
CAT Footwear is not traditionally thought of as a popular brand for trainers, but lately they have been coming out with some stylish and refined trainers that can be worn for almost any occasion. CAT Footwear typically makes heavy-duty safety boots for men and women, but lately they’ve branched out and are starting to make stylish trainers. Many trainers–like Reebok’s Zig series–would look ridiculous if worn for any other occasion apart from working out. But CAT trainers look casual, refined and are functional. While they may not be as technologically endowed as trainers from Puma and Reebok, and thus may not be a top choice for people looking for just an athletic shoe, CAT Footwear makes our list because of it’s versatility–it’s stylish enough to be worn casually and it’s functional and extremely comfortable.
