As the summer fades and swimsuit season is over, it’s easy to slip back into that routine of baggy clothes, extra desserts and not worrying about how you’re going to look on the beach. Just because you won’t be strutting yourself for another ten months or so, that doesn’t mean it’s time to pile on the pounds. Keep the hard work up and yourself in shape this autumn! If you don’t fancy battling the weather with outdoor activity, or dislike the idea of paying for an over-priced gym membership, why don’t you make some purchases that will allow you to work out in the comfort of your own home?
Cardiovascular work will be the most important part of keeping those calories off, so I’d recommend a horizon fitness treadmill. Alternatively if, like me, you’re not a fan of running, perhaps a proform elliptical might be more your thing. Whichever form of exercise you like the most, there’s nothing better than being able to do it in your own home while watching your favourite TV shows.
It’s important to remember though, it’s not all about the cardio! Doing some work with weights is great for toning and shaping, and ten months of weight work will ensure that your looking great for the beach next summer. While there are lots of weight machines in gyms, they’re not practical for your home, so I’d recommend some adjustable weights & dumbbells. There is a huge variety to choose from and obviously you can choose the right weight to suit you.
So get going and keep those calories off – it’s never too early to prepare for your beach trips next summer!
