I am 26 years old, soon to be 27 (this October 6th, so get me a gift) and everyone around me is popping out babies. My mums always on me about grand kids, but right now there’s only room enough for one whiny, bawling malcontent in my flat. However, for those of you who have children, good for you. I’m sure they are precious, adorable and they light up your lives. Children are our future and all that, and we (including me) want them to grow up properly in a healthy environment.
I may not have children of my own, but extrapolating from my friend’s experiences and from my own childhood I know the first rule of babies is to not drop the baby. Knowing me, I’d probably hold my baby like I do in rugger I’d be so scared of dropping it (sorry I mean him/her). That’s why a stroller comes in handy. Lightweight is always good so you’ll want the best lightweight stroller you can buy.
Chicco skip strollers are popular right now with the baby making/having elite. It has the right safety options for a good stroller. It comes with lockable wheels, a five point harness, and the brakes handle well. Compared to most lightweight strollers, the Chicco skip has a lot more ease of movement and the back wheels don’t kick
when walking so you won’t have to adjust your gait when taking out your little one. If you happen to get caught in some bad weather, this stroller also features a rain cover and it’s been known to handle soggy terrain well.
Lastly, let me tell you from personal experience that kids are not Rugby balls. They won’t be sitting quietly in that stroller waiting to be thrown around while you go for your mid-day stroll, so be kind (to yourself and them) and pack snacks and toys. I’ve found that a soft duck stuffed animal toy keeps them quiet and content for the day.
Enjoy this time with your little ones because, as my own parents say, “they grow up so quickly… and then you’re broke”. Keep from being like my parents by shopping for the best deals.
