Your living room is possibly the most important room in your house – it’s where you watch TV, eat dinner and where you sit when friends come over. However, people often seem to forget about it when they’re renovating their homes. They may re-do the kitchen, re-tile the bathroom or change the wallpaper in the hallway, but it’s not often you hear of people giving their living room a makeover! Change that – buy a new leather sofa, perhaps a coffee table or a TV cabinet, and make the room an area you love to be in.

Primarily the choice would be white or black, and they are a great place to chill and watch your favourite movies as well as offering an elegant style which will impress visitors over for a dinner party. Once you’ve put a sofa in as the key piece of furniture, it’s the other accessories that will really make it great. A beautiful wooden cabinet would provide a pinch of elegance, while a traditional rug would make the room more homely. A coffee table is usually in the center of the room and eyes go straight to it as soon as someone enters, so make sure it looks right. Depending on the decor, you may opt for a wooden table or a glass, minimalistic style. Whatever you go for, ensure all the pieces of furniture match to make the room as chic and comfortable as possible. Once it’s complete, invite all your friends over and perhaps they’ll be inspired to follow in your footsteps!
