It’s always a good time to buy
shoes. Sometimes I feel it’s necessary to have as many shoes as I do outfits (yes, I’m a guy). I know it’s cliché to say they are the ultimate accessory, but I’ve just said it, so go ahead and dock me writer points. They’re not just functional bits to protect your feet from looking like beef jerky, no, the reason why shoes hold such a lofty position in the accessory hierarchy is because they can complete a look in ways that other accessories can’t.
Shoes make statements-about our status, about our interests, our personalities and even about our moods. Yes, we throw on shoes to reflect how we feel at the moment. We slip into pairs of shoes to give us permission to be and do (I know, I’m a very deep thinker).
This is why it’s important to have a versatile, all purpose type of shoe and a good option to look at would be some Mary Jane shoes. Work takes up large chunks of our day, and you ladies, especially if you are on your feet all day, want your shoes to be comfortable and professional at the same time. They traditionally have a low heel, but there are pump versions as well.
To brave the elements this winter you should go with some Timberland ladies boots. Timberland is a well known manufacturer of outdoor clothing and they make quality hiking boots, but they function just as well as casual wear.
Finally, at end of the day we want our feet to be cozy and comfortable. Step into a pair of silk ladies slippers and enjoy your time off, rejuvenating with your feet up and a book in your hands.
Now, I’m not a shoe fanatic who dedicates entire rooms to their shoe collection (though I’m not judging you if you are), but I do believe that it’s important to have a wide range of options to reflect your moods. Whichever brands you choose, make sure you keep your different personae in mind and choose appropriately.
Did you know?
