Get nice and warm with a camel coat through winter

camel coatWhen thinking about this Autumn/Winter must haves one has to notice that a lot of the trends that made their appearance in the last couple of years have come back. Lace, leather, fur, sheepskin, shearling, chunky knits, plaids and tweeds, we have all seen that before, and not that long ago.

The colour palette this season is a very typical one for this time of the year, although you can distinguish a couple that stand out, namely: camel and scarlet red. You should definitely invest in a camel coat, cape, especially a funnel neck cape, poncho or some other chunky piece of knitwear. The colour is versatile, fashionable and suits everyone! Scarlet red on the other hand should be worn as a brave head-to-toe total look or when juxtaposed with black pieces of clothing – the latter is quite a forgotten way of wearing red, but it has come back to popularity!

When it comes to the must have items this autumn/winter you should definitely buy a cape. It suits a lot of styles and generally the longer it is the more elegant the effect it gives. The shorter ones on the other hand suit more sporty outfits.funnel neck cape
There is also a masculine trend going on in women’s fashion this season. It is mostly visible in the cut of the suits and shirts. The shirts that are the most fashionable are the ones with at least one masculine feature, a collar for example.

50s full skirts and dresses emphasising the waist are also big this autumn and winter, as well as leather, which is another fashion tendency worth wearing this season. For maximum impact it should be worn with velvet in rich colours, lace, fur or sheepskin, to give the ‘opulence’ effect when juxtaposed together.

Camel coat got through another season. I remember all the fashion mags went crazy last year. I got an amazing one from Patrizia Pepe and I'm crying my eyes out as I won't be able to wear it this year- I'm moving to Vietnam!Let's hope that this classic, statement piece will stay with us for another year.
