Snow is coming, and you know what that means.  War.  Snowball war.  It is not for the faint of heart.  It takes endurance, it takes cunning, it takes training…and of course, it takes a warm coat.  Make sure that you’re prepared with the right outerwear, and you will have the tactical advantage in any snowball fight.

The first thing that you need to look for is proper waterproofing.  You’ll be no good in a fight if snow seeps through your coat and you concentrate on your shivering extremities instead of your opponents.  A waterproof jacket is a durable, versatile piece that anyone who lives in a rainy or snowy area should invest in.

Another key element for your snow armor is layering pieces.  Quilted jackets for women make great insulation layers underneath larger winter parkas.  Think of them as your last layer of defense.  Even with a handful of snow down your back, a quilted jacket underneath protects you and makes sure that you stay warm.

Lastly, look to polyester as an unexpected ally.  While generally shunned in favour of coats with more “natural” feeling fabric, a polyester jacket can actually give you quite the advantage in a snow fight.  The synthetic fibres have superior water and wind resistance, and you certainly don’t have to worry as much about babying your coat in the snow.  Which leaves you free to pummel your enemies with snow.
