With Christmas practically around the corner, have you got all of your gifts sorted out?  I find it helpful to divide my gift list up into categories, and then hit one store per category until I’m done.  That way I don’t have to return to the same stores over and over again.  I mean, there are only so many times you can visit a sports memorabilia shop before it gets old.  When the category you’re shopping for is babies and their mums, practical gifts like prams and clothes are always sure winners.

An important basic that every mum appreciates is a quality pram.  Even if the family on your list already owns one, it’s useful to have a spare just in case the first experiences technical difficulties or doesn’t travel well.  One specific feature to look for is how well the pram folds up, and whether or not it fits into the boot of a small car. The Bebe Confort travel system is an example of a very compact pram that doesn’t sacrifice comfort for size.  It’s got the option of forward or parent-facing seating, as well as multiple reclining positions and a sun canopy.  Babies are safe and comfortable with side shock protection and a newborn head hugger.  A super fun way to gift a pram would be to offer to hold the baby, pop out for a second, and roll the baby back in the pram with a bow on its head.  What do you think, cute?

Another functional gift is baby clothes.  Honestly, I don’t think there is anything cuter.  The little booties and miniature buttons and adorable onesies are almost as fun to look at as babies themselves.  And given the amount of washing that mums have to do, I’m sure that most would agree – you can never have enough baby clothes.  Look for soft 100% cotton fabric and clever little slogans that only babies can pull off.  I especially like “Vino Bambino” wine label that says “aging perfectly.”  Too cute!
