Most people’s New Year’s resolutions go something along the lines of “Get in shape. Seriously. This time for real.” How many years running have you said that? And how many years have you not actually started running, or exercising in any way at all? Maybe the problem is motivation. Maybe a nice little bribe from Santa would do the trick. Maybe this year, you should start your exercise regimen with a brand-spanking-new-can’t-resist-riding-this-baby bike. Yes, that kind.
For all of the sporty and soon-to-be sporty people out there, a new bike can be a great way to kick-start the New Year. Lightweight bikes are really fun gifts – er, investments in future fitness. There are many different types of bikes to try, but mountain bikes are looking to be the best-sellers this year, and for good reason. What more exciting way to work off your Christmas pudding? I personally really want to get into mountain biking. It’s a great way to get a vigorous workout and experience nature at the same time. The sport really forces you to work on core strength and balance, and over time it’s great for improving your endurance. Plus, what better excuse to get out of the city and have a mini holiday? Try a Carrera bike for stability while going downhill and good jump capability.
Are you ready to finally cross “get in shape” off of your resolution list?
Did you know?
You can reduce the environmental impact of mountain biking by not riding on wet trails.
