Every now and then you just need a drink. But sometimes cracking open a can of lager isn’t always feasible or polite. In these cases, it is good to have a hip flask on hand so you can discretely have a wee nip of courage. Here are the occasions perfect for a sneaky drink.

The Theater

You’re at the newest movie or play and halfway through you are looking for the nearest exit. The only thing keeping you in your seat is the fact that you came with your significant other. Since you can’t leave, do the next best thing and pull out a little 15 year old scotch whisky from your flask to at least make whatever it is you’re watching a little more bearable.

Sporting Event

Nowadays any sort of beverage will cost you an arm and a leg at a concert or football match. Avoid being gouged by pouring your own drink beforehand. Just be wary of the metal detectors.

Church

It’s a pretty safe bet that the priest/pastor had a couple belts early Sunday morning, so why shouldn’t you? No need to wait for the sacramental wine when you brought your own holy spirit.

Wedding

Another formal occasion where you may want a head start on the festivities is a wedding. Whether you are the groom, bride, or crashing a wedding, it shouldn’t hurt to have a little hooch on hand for you and your mates- before, during, or after the ceremony.

Work

Friday can’t come soon enough. And it’s only 9:00 AM on Monday. Luckily you had the foresight to bring a little liquid courage with you to work today. And after a few drinks is the perfect time to ask your boss for that raise! (Note: This should not apply to Cab and Bus drivers)
