With the holidays looming it seems like there is a never ending list of things to get done. If you have guest or relatives coming to your house for dinner or any other sort of festivities, it can feel like the barbarians are at the gates. Luckily we have some helpful tips to ensure your party or get-together goes as smoothly as possible.
Get others to do the work for you
An old Chinese philosopher once said that many hands make light work. Taking this advice to heart, you can have all your guests help you out by cutting down your work load. Instead of cooking an entire meal yourself, suggest that guests bring a side dish or appetiser. This lightens your burden for food preparation and will also save you money.
Be prepared to entertain
You could serve the worst tasting food imaginable, but if you entertain your guests well, they will be talking about your event for years to come. So think about investing in a mini bar to help socially lubricate the guests. Once they have consumed an ample amount of spirits, then it is time to bring out the Karaoke machine.
Hide yo kids, not your wife
If you have kids, pay for a sitter or arrange for them to stay over at a friend’s house so they can have a sleep over and play xbox all night. Nobody can truly enjoy themselves and have a fun time at a party if children are present.
If you follow these easy steps (and don’t make any off-colour jokes) your evening will shape up to be one enjoyed by all.
Did you know?
That there ain’t no party like a West Coast party, cuz West Coast parties rarely (if ever) stop?
