Kitchen can be a complicated process. Some recipes consist of a great many sets so it helps to reduce save on labour and time with some helpful kitchen tools that the average kitchen doesn’t typically have, but certainly could use.
1. Food processor
A food processor is the great labour saving device that can be employed to do many different tasks. A Bosch food processor comes with several attachments that chop, whip and purée. They are also very handy for backing and some recipes can even be entirely mixed together inside this single device.
2. Knife sharpener
The average cook doesn’t spend much time thinking about the sharpness of their cutlery, but there is a big difference between a dull knife and a sharp one, especially when chopping ingredients such as vegetables. Sharper knives give a cleaner cut and speed up the work. Most knife sets come with a rod shaped sharpener, but there are also free standing devices that sharpen blades in just a few swipes.
3. Kitchen tool organizer
I’m sure there are many times during cooking where you’ve needed to pull out an addition tool, but had to spend a bit of time looking for the specific one with in one of the many kitchen drawers. Organizers or hooks for kitchen tools can help keep your attention on the simmering food by keeping utensils in a visible and easy to reach place. There are also magnetic strips for knives and other metallic tools that hang on the wall for more organization.
4. Ceiling pan rack
Rather than digging in a cabinet of mismatch pots, pans and lids, using a ceiling rack can save you time and space. Pots and pans are kept accessible and out of the way. They also make for an interesting interior design choice that is decorative and functional.
It is sometimes difficult to check the temperature of your cooking because of the danger of heat or the obstruction of steam. An infrared thermometer is a very usefull kitchen tool that keeps your hands our of harms way and giver you a clear digital readout of the temperature at a distance.
